Both my sons learnt more about playing a dramatic role, play cooperatively during group games and how to socialize with his new friends during the sessions. I noticed Jerry and Anne are very patient and firm with the participants. ~ Koh Ching Kee, Father of Delmer and Keifer Koh
He has learnt to be socially independent especially during lunch time when he learnt to buy his own food. I realise that my son can actually act! I feel the trainers are capable to handle ASD children. ~Angela Sia, Mother of Shawn Koh
I noticed that my son is more verbal during these sessions. I am glad that Anne and Jerry took care to make sure that the children enjoyed themselves. ~Bernadette Goh, Mother of Samuel Goh
I can see that Samuel enjoyed himself and is not shy to perform in front of a group of audience. It was also good to have some teenage volunteers to work with the kids as role models. ~ Jessie Lim, Special Needs Officer of Naval Base Primary School
A Note from Anne:
After much thought and persuasion from others who have benefited from working with me in this area of Playback Theatre (P.T.) and Socially Challenging Behaviours, I decided to collaborate with my good friend, Jerry Louis for this latest course for primary school children with specific special needs using PT.
I am thankful that my previous experience of coaching and teaching the kids from Naval Base Primary School (all of them had special needs)who inspired me to continue believing in the reality of drama helping children to find the inner strength to cope with daily life challenges. Their courage and enthusiasm in acting the skits for their Teachers' Day performance won the standing ovation of the entire cohort of teachers watching the show.
I really hope that more parents will be encouraged to know that this is a course that is taught by experienced drama teachers who understand and work mainly with kids with special needs.

Due to the special design of the current PIPE programme, it is strongly encouraged that he/she does not miss any day as each session is building on the skills learnt from the previous one.
3. What happens if the quota of 16 participants have been filled? Is this a once-off course or is there more courses coming up?
Due to work commitments, both trainers are keen to have on-going drama programmes during June & Dec School Holidays. If the response is overwhelming for this current course, there is a higher chance of having a second class to cater to current needs.
